Standard cleaning in Minsk

A standard clean of a 1-room flat in Minsk costs 142 BYN, and a 2-room flat 166 BYN. It is the regular clean for a home that is mostly kept tidy: the specialist dusts, washes the floors, cleans the kitchen and the bathroom and takes out the rubbish.

How the price adds up

The price is the sum of the parts of your flat. Every order starts with the hallway (26 BYN) and the kitchen (42 BYN). Each room adds 24 BYN and each bathroom 50 BYN.

A balcony adds 18 BYN, and windows are 18 BYN per sash, that is, per framed pane. A 3-room flat with two bathrooms comes to 240 BYN.

What is cleaned

  • Rooms: dust on top of wardrobes, on furniture, window sills and radiators; mirrors and glass, skirting boards, sockets and switches, doors, and the floor vacuumed and mopped.
  • Kitchen: the wall above the worktop, the hob, worktops, sink and tap, cabinet fronts and handles, appliances on the outside, and the legs of the table and chairs.
  • Bathroom: the bath or shower with its drain, the whole toilet, the sink and taps, the mirror, the tiles around the bath and sink, and the outside of the washing machine.
  • Hallway: sand and dirt by the door, shelves, the mirror, the door and the floor.
  • At the end the specialist takes out the rubbish and wipes handles, switches, taps and mirrors once more so that no streaks are left.

What is not included

A standard clean doesn’t go inside the oven, fridge or cupboards, and windows are not included. A deep clean does all of that: for a 2-room flat it costs 450 BYN.

If the rooms are fine but the kitchen or the bathroom needs more, add a deep clean of just that area on top of the standard clean: 158 BYN for the kitchen, 45 BYN for the bathroom. That costs less than a deep clean of the whole flat.

How long it takes

A 2-room flat takes about three and a half hours of work, and a 3-room flat about four. If two specialists come, the time is split between them and the price stays the same. The calculator shows how long your cleaning takes before you book.

Travel anywhere inside the MKAD, the ring road around Minsk, is free. Outside it a 45 BYN travel fee is added.

How often to book

  • Once a week: families with children or pets.
  • Every two weeks: the most common choice, as dust and limescale don’t have time to build up.
  • Once a month: one person living alone, or a flat that is rarely used. With such long gaps, a deep clean is sometimes needed instead of a standard one.
  • Once: before guests, after a party or after a holiday away.

A regular schedule costs less: a weekly subscription takes 10% off, every two weeks 7.5% and once a month 5%. A one-off clean on a Saturday or Sunday, or one starting at 18:00 or later, costs 10% more on the total; subscription cleanings don’t have this surcharge. The calculator shows the exact amount.

Before the specialist arrives

Cleaning products come with the specialist, but you need a working vacuum cleaner, water and electricity. If you have no vacuum cleaner, add ours for 35 BYN. Clear things off the floor and tables beforehand, or part of the time goes on tidying up instead of cleaning.

The calculator, sign-in and checkout are in English. Your order page and account are still in Russian; your browser’s translate button handles them well. To book, you need a Belarusian mobile number (+375 25, 29, 33 or 44): the sign-in code comes by SMS.

Questions

How much is a standard clean of a 3-room flat?

With one bathroom it costs 190 BYN, with two bathrooms 240 BYN. A balcony adds 18 BYN.

How is it different from a deep clean?

A deep clean also does what a standard clean doesn’t reach: the inside of the oven, fridge and cupboards, the cooker hood, bathroom walls and the grout between tiles.

Do I need to be at home?

Only to let the specialist in; a relative or a neighbour with a key can do that too. The specialist takes photos before and after the cleaning, and you accept the work in your order within 24 hours.

How often should I book?

Most people book every two weeks. With children or pets, once a week; for one person, once a month.
