Window cleaning in Minsk
Window cleaning in Minsk costs 18 BYN per sash. A sash is one framed pane of a window, whether it opens or not, so a two-sash window costs 36 BYN and a three-sash one 54 BYN. Windows are cleaned from inside the flat and can only be booked together with a flat cleaning: with a standard clean of a 1-room flat, one two-sash window brings the total to 178 BYN.

One sash takes about 20 minutes. Five windows with two sashes each come to more than three hours of work.
Sashes that don’t open, and height
Above the ground floor, a sash that doesn’t open is cleaned from inside only: cleaning it from outside would be work at height, which we don’t do. It still counts as a normal sash in the price. Glass facades and windows that need climbing with safety gear are not included.
Together with a flat cleaning
Window cleaning is added to a flat cleaning. The cheapest is a standard clean, which covers dust, floors, the kitchen and the bathroom: for a 1-room flat (one room plus a kitchen) it costs 142 BYN, and the sashes are added to that. Five two-sash windows add 180 BYN.
When to clean the windows
In Minsk most people clean their windows in spring, after the heating season, and in autumn, before the cold. Flats on busy roads such as Independence Avenue get dirty glass faster and need it more often.

Questions
How do I count the sashes?
Each separate frame with glass is a sash, including one that doesn’t open. A kitchen window usually has two or three.
What do you clean the glass with?
The specialist brings their own products and lint-free cloths. If there are children at home or someone has allergies, mention it in the order.
Is balcony glazing included?
Yes, balcony glazing is counted by sashes in the same way. Cleaning the balcony itself is a separate line in the calculator.
